The Department offers two specialized management programmes that combine rigorous academic training with practical, hands-on experiences that help students develop leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
MBA (Travel & Tourism)
The two-year, full-time MBA programme in travel and tourism commenced in 2008 gives students the professionalism and management abilities they need to meet the demands of the travel and service industries. Over the course of two years, the program is divided into four semesters, each lasting six months. The academic understanding of management studies and its applications in the travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors are integrated in this course. Interested parties can specialize in systems, hospitality, or travel and tour operations. The program's specialties include practical experience in planning international events and additional international certifications in German and French. The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has approved the course, which is affiliated with the University of Kerala.
Master of Travel and Tourism Management (MTTM)
With over 260 million employment, or 10.7% of all occupations worldwide, tourism is the greatest employer in the world. India's tourist industry is seeing exponential expansion, and Kerala has a lot of untapped tourism potential. In many industries, there is a significant requirement for qualified individuals to both lead and manage the business divisions. To meet these demands, the Master of Tourism and Travel Management (MTTM) programme at KITTS has been started in 2025. Graduate students will be able to achieve the following through the program's stated curriculum and evaluation methods: A thorough comprehension of the characteristics and interactions among the elements that make up the tourist business. Gain hands-on experience in all of the main facets of the travel and hospitality sector. The capacity to operate in dynamic, competitive, and varied work environments. Capable of operating a company in the travel and hospitality sector.
