The headquarters at Thiruvananthapuram is housed at the Residency Bungalow which was built around 1815 at Thycaud spread over 5.5 acres of land.
The two Academic Blocks are equipped with wi-fi connectivity and modern facilities including latest technologies for facilitating quality education, training, research, consultancy and capacity building for stakeholders in tourism.

Infrastructure
The Learning Resource Centre (LRC) is the major supporting system for the academic section of KITTS. Students,
faculty members and research scholars effectively using the resources available in the centre, both print and
online. The LRC is subscribing top ranked international Tourism and Management Journals, having the stock of
updated collection of books both on general reading and based on Kerala University Syllabus. In the year 2005,
KITTS became the member of Depository library of UN Tourism. After KITTS becoming the Affiliate member of UN
Tourism, all their publications is available in KITTS electronically. Access to all information provided by UN
Tourism helps students to update their knowledge in Tourism worldwide. KITTS became the member of National
Digital Library in 2018, under Ministry of Human Resource Development, Education through Information and
Communication Technology. It is a pilot project to develop framework of virtual repository of learning facility
in single window search facility. It helps the students to prepare for competitive examinations and entrance
examinations and enable them to learn the best practices. Majority of the Students of KITTS are registered in
the Programme.
The Learning Resource Centre stocks 10,000 books focusing more on Tourism, hospitality and Management subjects.
•KITTS LRC is subscribing 31 periodicals including magazines and journals like
Tourism Management, Journal of Travel Research, and Journal of Travel & Tourism marketing.
•KITTS LRC is a computerized library since 2003. So the information retrieval
is easy for the students.
•KITTS LRC stocks all organizational study/project reports of MBA/BBA batches
in classified order which can be retrieved and given to students on demand.
•KITTS LRC is subscribing J-Gate (JSMS), a comprehensive database and gateway
to access research information from 7 million + articles indexed from 12,000 + journals.
•Reading assignments/presentation are conducted in the library hours of the
students to improve the presentation and communication skills of the students.
•This RFID enabled library has a good collection of digitized newspapers
clippings of tourism and allied subjects.
•All previous year Question papers of the University is regularly scanned and
digitized.
•Reprographic facility in the library helps the students and the whole of
academic section to satisfy all their requirement under one roof like taking print outs, photocopying and
scanning etc.
A computer lab with the state of the art technology ensures that
students get maximum inputs in the field of Information technology. High speed internet connectivity ensures
that students have constant access to study materials and other topics. Online technologies in tourism such as
Global Distribution Systems are taught here which a value addition to the students is. Even though computer
related subjects taught at UG and PG level do not have a practical component, KITTS conducts practical
sessions for its students in the computer lab. This ensures that the students are fit for the industry. By
procuring the latest available hardware and software KITTS ensures that its students are constantly in touch
with the latest in Information Technology.
Language lab is functioning in the Learning Resource Centre, to improve the
communication skills of students. For the learner, it offers an interactive learning experience as well as the
opportunity to self-evaluate his or her progress. Step-by-step instructions on using the Teacher Console and
the Student Console are detailed with appropriate illustrations. Total of 20 computers in the language lab are
installed with language lab software.
The automated test centre is located in the second floor of new academic block. Various online tests conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) and International Air Transport Association (IATA) are being conducted in the computer lab.
The fully air-conditioned conference hall at the International
Training Centre can accommodate 140 pax and facilitates the conduct of international conferences, seminars,
symposiums and training programmes The non-air conditioned conference hall at the academic block can house
around 200 people.
The institute has two fully air-conditioned board rooms, one at the
ground floor of academic block and the other at the first floor of International Training Centre (ITC). Both
have seating capacity of 25 numbers.
An Amphi Theatre has been set up in the campus for conducting
cultural events of students, competitions as well as other major events organized by the institute.
Student Corners are available across campus as dedicated spaces for students to relax, engage in meaningful discussions, and enjoy light entertainment. Designed to promote a healthy balance between academic life and personal well-being, these areas offer a welcoming environment where students can unwind, share ideas, and connect with their peers.
The Girls Hostel in the campus with all modern facilities can
accommodate 69 inmates at a time. Mess facility of the hostel is managed by the inmates. The hostel is under
camera surveillance and there is a lady security guard available to take guard the security of the inmates at
night. There is a hostel committee responsible for the overall management of the hostel. There are two wardens

The institute takes special care of girl students by providing a Women's Rest Room at the Girl's Hostel in the campus. Girl students can use this facility for refreshments and other personal needs. The women's restroom provides privacy for girl students and give space for them to relax in case of any emergency.
The institute has a well-furnished canteen located at the ground
floor of the International Training Centre. Good quality food is served here at a reasonable price. The
canteen has separate dining areas for students and staff.
The International Training
Centre (ITC) has ramp and elevator which facilitates easy accessibility for differentially abled persons.
Disabled friendly toilets are also available in the block.
The sports facilities in the campus are managed by the Physical Education Department of the institution. A basketball and badminton court has been set up in the campus for students. Facilities for indoor games like caroms and chess are also provided in the campus.
Solar panels of capacities 10 kw - 1no. and 1kw - 4 nos. have been
installed in the campus to reduce the electricity consumption. Approximately 50 units per day savings have
been made through solar panel. All lamps used in the International Training Centre (ITC) and New Academic
Block is LED. Also the air conditioners used in the campus have star ratings as part of ensuring reduction in
power consumption.
Rain water harvesting is practised in the
Girl's Hostel, International Training Centre (ITC) as well as in the new academic block. Two tanks of capacity
50000 litres each have been constructed to collect rain water. Efforts have also been taken to use sanitary
fittings which consume less water in all the buildings of the campus.
Plastic Carry bags and covers are strictly banned in the campus. In
order to manage the food waste generated in the college canteen and ladies hostel mess, two biogas plants of 4
m3 capacity has been installed. Both the canteen and mess uses the bio gas for cooking purpose. On every
Friday afternoon, the students and staff of KITTS jointly clean the campus and the discards so collected are
handed over to the decentralised waste management system of the local self-government.
The campus is rich in many endangered species of trees. The Zanzibar
Copal or East African Copal, an evergreen tree from which a Copal Resin is extracted grows in the campus.
On the World Environment Day of 2017, 108 fruit bearing trees were planted in the campus to develop
the area as a good carbon sink. The fruit bearing trees is expected to bring more bird and animal life within
the campus.
A "Nakshatra Vanam" has been developed in the campus based on the Hindu mythology concept of 27 birth
star constellations and trees attached to it.
All the trees in the campus have been named with a view
of bringing an educational elemLanguage LabLibrraent to the students and visitors in the campus.
Organic Theatre is done at the campus blending farming practices with theatrical performances, emphasizing the link between agriculture and culture (Agri- Culture) in association with WIWA. It aims to revive traditional agricultural knowledge, promote eco-friendly farming, and create a space for positive social and ecological interactions. The concept involves students and staff participating in theatre workshops, creating plays, and staging performances during the harvest.
A butterfly garden has been
developed inside the campus by planting 23 varieties of host plants for the butterflies. Already 19 species of
butterfly have been identified from the campus. KITTS does survey of birds in the campus with the help of
students. 23 species of birds have been identified from the campus. Photographic competitions and quiz
programmes are being conducted to generate interests among the students on the avian fauna. Bird nests have
been put up in the trees and parakeets, owls and mynas have started occupying these nests.
